I believe that God is a loving father who wants to bring healing to His hurting children. Therapy can be an effective means to provide that healing. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment for healing to occur. I have found that many times a client enters therapy for one reason but God uses that as a doorway to bring deep life long healing for areas that have been previously hidden.
Therapy is an active process that requires commitment from both therapist and client. Sometimes I take the role of coach, sometimes I'm a teacher, sometimes a symbolic surrogate parent. My role might vary from session to session based on the needs of the client. What remains consistent is my 100% commitment to be fully present in each session with you. I will be with you each step of the way.
My expectations of clients is that you will show up and do your best at each session. I might suggest therapy "homework" to be done between sessions. I will expect you to dialogue with me about those assignments and let me know if they aren't working for you. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. I deeply desire honest communication. It is through honesty and commitment that we will begin to see what your life rhythm should look like.
