Individual Therapy

Have you been wondering...do I need therapy? If so, let's chat! My experience has taught me that its much easier to come in for a session and talk with a therapist than to keep worrying about it. Therapy is designed to be a safe space for you to give words to your thoughts and emotions. Sometimes, just having a neutral place to explore those thoughts and feelings provides enough of a healing dynamic for you. Other times, you might find yourself stuck in certain behaviors or thought processes. You might need a little assistance to move to a more desired place in life.

Many people come to therapy to discuss things that have happened in their past. I believe its important to integrate our past into our life story so that the past doesn't interfere with and limit our present day possibilities. Even though you may  come to therapy alone, remember, as a family therapist, I'm always looking at the impact of other relationships in your life. We live IN relationship with others. We need to make sure that as many of our relationships are as healthy as possible so we can be free to enjoy our lives.

In our first session we will be able to determine if I am the right fit of therapist for you. I will make sure that my particular skill set matches what is bringing you to therapy. If, at the end of the first session, we decide that it's not the best fit, I am happy to provide you with referrals to other amazing therapists in the San Diego area.
