Frequently Asked Questions:
We have listed common questions our clients usually
ask. If you have a question that is not listed here,
please reach out via email.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON MY FIRST VISIT?
HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION
Sessions are either 60 or 90 minutes. Length of session will depend on the plan we decide upon in your first session. Most individual client sessions will be about 60 minutes. However, family sessions will be 90 minutes standard.
WHAT IS THE COST?
All session fees are based on income. Please see ***** tab for current pricing.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
You may schedule an appointment by emailing [email protected]. You can also send us a message by clicking on the Contact tab. We will then get in touch with you to schedule an appointment.
DO YOU WORK WITH CHILDREN?
Yes. However, I do not see children without parental involvement. I use a family centered approach. I expect parents to be an active part of their child's therapy. I do not believe a child is the "problem."
WHY THERAPY, WHY ME, WHY NOW?
It has been my experience that if you are wondering if you should see a therapist...you probably should! There is a reason you are asking yourself that question. Why not schedule a session and let's chat. If I don't see a therapeutic need for you to be in therapy, I will share that with you. If I believe there is something worth working on, then I will suggest a course of action. You always have the choice whether or not you would like to come back for a second session.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
A notice of 24 hours is required for all cancelled or rescheduled appointments. Missed appointments and late cancellations are charged at $75.00.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept Cash, Check, or Paypal.
WHAT ABOUT CONFIDENTIALITY?
The relationship between therapist and client is protected by law and information cannot be disclosed without written consent. The only exceptions are if and when there is suspected child abuse/neglect or when the client threatens serious harm to self or others, in which case every effort is made to ensure the safety of those affected as required by law.
