The path of recovery from substance abuse is one with various twists and turns, starts and stops. I believe that relapse CAN in fact, be part of recovery. I believe recovery is a life-long journey. I also believe recovery is a FAMILY process. Everyone in a family is impacted when one family member is struggling with or in recovery from substance abuse.
I have many years of professional experience working with people in recovery. I also have personal experience of growing up in a family with someone in recovery. This allows me to blend personal experience and professional training/experience as I walk with you on your journey of recovery.
I am comfortable working with someone in recovery as well as family members of someone in recovery. My approach leans heavily on education for each person involved in treatment. Families with substance abuse have unique characteristics that require attending to.
I believe that its possible for families to learn to heal and enjoy life again! I would love to walk with you on this journey.
